Over at Mark"s Guitar Blog he is starting to post a cool series of lessons on using Partial Chord Shapes.

This is the first in a series of lessons about smaller chord shapes that you can use not only for rhythm guitar playing but also for some lead guitar chops that we'll be working on later.
