Ibanez shows “AMBIANCE” At NAMM

NEW IBANEZ “AMBIANCE”

Acoustic-Electric Series Features Distinctive Arched Backs,
100% Fishman Electronics and “No Competition”

(BENSALEM, PA) The 2009 NAMM Show in Anaheim will see the debut of the Ibanez Ambiance series of acoustic-electric guitars. “The new Ambiance models feature bodies with arched backs for both luthier-level looks and large, resonant sound,” commented Irene Shvartsman of Ibanez in Benaslem, PA. “All three models are equipped with 100% Fishman electronics, and the Ambiance will be the first guitar in the industry to feature the new Fishman Aero pre-amps with balanced ¼” and XLR outputs. To get that combination of construction, electronics, and sound in any other brand, you’d have to go to almost twice the price. In the Ambiance price range, there really is no other competition.”

The top model of the arch-backed Ambiance line, the AE300, features top, back and sides of quilted maple, gold Grover tuners, Fishman Sonicore bridge pickup, and the Fishman Aero Blend pre-amp with built-in microphone, notch filter and onboard tuner. The AE300’s list price is $857.13. Two different high gloss finishes are available, Vintage Violin (seen below) and Transparent Black Cherry Sunburst.

The starting model of the series, the AE100, with arch-backed mahogany body, spruce top, and standard Fishman Aero pre-amp and Sonicore pickup, lists for just $571.42.
