Ibanez Gets Even More Exotic - New From NAMM

Ibanez Adds the 1st Solid Top To Its Best Selling Exotic Wood Acoustic Guitar Series.

You’d never know there was a recession if your only marker was the Ibanez Exotic Wood line of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. The unbeatable combination of highly figured, expensive looking and sounding instruments at unexpectedly low prices has won Ibanez rave reviews and consecutive sales increases every year since the line’s debut. Another factor in its success are constant new additions to the line at nearly every NAMM Show.

The 2009 Anaheim NAMM Show will be no different in this regard says Irene Schvartsman of Ibanez in Bensalem, PA. “At this show, we have the first Exotic Wood model with a solid top. The EW50MPSENT features back and sides of monkey pod—an exotic wood similar in resonance and looks to koa—with a solid monkey pod top. With its solid top, the EW50MP’s rich, full sound will continue to improve with age.”

Two new standard top EW models, one with of a body of cocobolo wood and the other with spalted mango wood will join the EW50MPSENT at the Anaheim NAMM show. All three models feature the Ibanez SRTn preamp and the UST under saddle transducer by B-Band.
