Responding to continued interest in single cut axes, Ibanez will greatly expand its number of single-cutaway solid bodies in 2009. “We’re not only offering new finishes and woods,” commented Mac Muranaka of Ibanez from the Bensalem PA Ibanez office, “we’re even adding single cuts to our beginner range of guitars, the Ibanez GIO line.”
A the upper end of the new Ibanez single-cuts, the 2009 single-cutaway ART420HAM (seen below), which lists for $799.99 features a spalted maple top and a mahogany body loaded with powerful Lo-Z active pickups. In the beginner price range, the new 2009 GIO GART30 models list for just $242.84.
