NAMM 2010 - Ibanez Adds Standard Model To Their Montage Line of A/E Guitars

For 2010 Ibanez adds a touch of dark and sleek simplicity to its innovative line of Montage acoustic-electric guitars. MSC350BK sports a black, high gloss finish and a new, simpler 3-way switch control for both acoustic and electric guitar sounds.

The original award-winning (“Best of NAMM Show) Montage guitars utilize digital signal processing (and a large number of controls) to achieve an impressive variety of acoustic and electric guitar sounds including chorus, reverb and overdriven. In contrast, the new MSC350 reaches is more “just-the-basics, please”: easy simplicity and more affordability via analog electronics and the choice of acoustic pickup, magnetic pickup or mix of both.

The MSC350BK features a spruce top, mahogany back and sides and chrome die-cast tuners and includes the Ibanez AP10 magnetic pickup, Ibanez under-saddle pickup and Ibanez M300 preamp with 3-band EQ and onboard tuner. Like the other guitars in the Montage series, it arrives equipped with D’Addario® EXP™ coated strings.

Each guitar in the Ibanez Montage line presents a complete sonic arsenal for busy working musicians called upon to cover all sorts of sounds and textures: acoustic, electric, rhythm and lead. In the past, this could have resulted in a car full of extra gear. Not anymore – you can get both sounds, from purely clear acoustic to electric, all in just one Montage guitar.
