Jason Shadrick of NGW is getting down to business. The business of certifying guitar instructors. He's putting feelers out to the guitarist around the country to see if their interested in becoming a certified guitar instructor through NGW. Defenitly a major undertaking but if there's a man out there that can pull it off, then Jason is the man.
In message posted my Jason on their Facebook account he says:
Many of our students although skilled guitarists are not musicians by trade and some of them have inquired about where they can gain the skills needed to be a successful guitar instructor to supplement their income in these difficult economic times.
We are considering having a special seminar during our first week in Purchase, NY (July 19-26) that focuses on all the elements of being a successful guitar instructor including:
* Building and Maintaining a Student Base
* Pricing
* Teaching Resources
* Strategies for Teaching Different Types of Students
At the end of the seminar all the participants will become "National Guitar Workshop Certified" Instructors.
I would like to reach out to you and ask if this would be something you would be interested in and if so what topics would you like to see covered during the seminar.
You can reach me at jshadrick@guitarworkshop.com.
