In a recent interview with Angel of Metal mag David Ellefson was asked how they came up with the name F5 for their band. David answered, " Our former drummer Dave Small came up with the name after he was watching the movie “TWISTER”. We’ve never exploited the whole tornado thing with the name, but rather liked the power of something simple like F5".How fitting for the metal monsters, and now you know the rest........

Believe it or not... I have been wondering about that very question. Now, as Sarge has said we know the rest........
I actually think it's pretty fitting. It amaizes me how they actually come up with these names.
