Rudy Sarzo Releases Book: Off the Rails; Aboard the Crazy Train in the Blizzard of Ozz

PRESS RELEASE

Rudy Sarzo, former Ozzy Osbourne bassist, authored a firsthand and often shocking account of his experience on and off the road with Ozzy and his Blizzard of Ozz band. Off the Rails: Aboard the Crazy Train in the Blizzard of Ozz offers an interesting glimpse into the beginning of Ozzy Osbourne's solo career and his volatile relationship with Sharon. The book also recounts the life and death of Rudy's best friend, guitar virtuoso Randy Rhoads, who died when his plane tragically crashed into the tour bus where Sarzo and his band mates were sleeping.

The book is based on a daily journal written by Sarzo and a personalized scrapbook provided by Sharon. "Touring with Ozzy is beyond anyone's wildest imagination," states Sarzo. "I had the most bizarre and fascinating experiences one could ever have." Sarzo shares insights gathered from conversations with Ozzy about his career, the music industry and his personal life. He holds nothing back about Ozzy's state of mind on and off the road.

Rudy Sarzo will release the book as a collector's edition, filled with 16 pages of touring photos by legendary photographer Ross Halfin, as well as many candid personal photos. The book's official worldwide release date is September 4, 2008. Autographed and personalized versions are now available for pre-sales from RudySarzo.com.

Sarzo has been a worldwide professional recording and performing bass player for over 25 years. As a member of Ozzy Osbourne's band, Rudy toured the world in support of the "Blizzard of Ozz" and "Diary Of a Madman" albums.
