New F5 Album Out

Rock House Artisit/Instructor and world famous bassist David Ellefsons band F5 have unleashed their sophomore album, “The Reckoning,” which is available now via OarFin Distribution (Koch). The record was produced by Ryan Greene and reveals a deeper, more complex sound than the band’s 2005 debut, “A Drug For All Seasons.”

Staying true to their style of crafting heavy-but-melodic hooks, F5’s hard-hitting new disc showcases the world-class playing of the group. Featuring bassist David Ellefson and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso, “The Reckoning” has been released to rave reviews.

Some early reviews state:

“… this album smokes and stands strongly on its own. The Reckoning could land as one of the best metal releases of 2008. It's already got my vote.” – Live Metal

“Heavy yet melodic, this record is a must for metal fans of all kinds.” – Pure Grain Audio

“Combining melodic elements with influences from thrash and progressive, the group has definitely hit on something memorable and heavy — showcasing the band members’ talents at just the right moment on every song. If you’re in the mood from some straight forward heavy metal without the gurgles and growls or mosh heavy breakdowns, then F5 is exactly what you need.” – Mouth For War

“… The Reckoning is a very real rock/metal disc that should inspire many people and hopefully get them concentrating on a band that uses artistry and musical competency in a beneficial, not-snobby, constructive way.” – Crusher Magazine
